Vicki Spannagel
Board Member
Vicki Spannagel is a Gold Country native living in Penryn. She is retired from Placer County Health and Human Services having started as a Public Health Nurse visiting families throughout the county. During her nearly thirty years with the county she served in many capacities focusing on prevention, community development, collaboration and maternal and child health. As a Program Manager and Director of Public Health Nursing she worked with community partners to advocate for families including the development of the Child Abuse Prevention Council, Multidisciplinary Interview Team, Child Death Review Team, Greater Collaborative (now Placer Collaborative Network), Family Resources Centers, and numerous innovative projects. She was an active member of the management team promoting a strong collaboration of services focus during the integration of Health and Human Services.
Vicki graduated from University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Public Health Nurse Certificate and School Nurse Certificate. She furthered her education with a Masters Degree in Nursing Administration from California State University Sacramento.
Vicki looks forward to continuing to serve the families of Placer County through her work with Placer Community Foundation.
