Veronica Blake
Chief Executive Officer
Veronica is a champion of community philanthropy, and of community foundation leadership. When she isn’t working, Veronica can be found riding her mountain bike somewhere in the Sierra Nevada or in the audience listening to jam bands.
As Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Veronica uses her knowledge of the region’s nonprofit sector to connect the charitable interests of donors with needs in the community. She serves as the primary liaison with the board of directors and all committees, directs all asset development activities and manages the operations of the Community Foundation.
Veronica is a champion of community philanthropy, and of community foundation leadership. She is a senior fellow of American Leadership Forum Mountain Valley Chapter, and is the past Chair and current member of the Economic Development Board for Placer County. She also serves on the board of directors for The League of California Community Foundations.
She has over 25 years’ executive-level management experience, 21 of which has been in the non-profit sector. Prior to joining the Placer Community Foundation, Veronica served as the Executive Director for both the Placer SPCA and the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation.
