LEADERSHIP AND TEAM TRAININGS FOR
LOCAL NONPROFITS
The Nonprofit Initiative helps local nonprofit agencies establish infrastructure, governance and capacity building best practices, allowing them to build a solid foundation upon which to leverage philanthropy to the best advantage of their programs and clients. This completely free and vital support, delivered by a diverse lineup of regionally and nationally recognized presenters, is the bedrock of Placer Community Foundation’s direct support to local nonprofits. It plays a pivotal role in empowering organizations that contribute to our community's well-being.

In 2024, 114 nonprofits received this free training on a variety of relevant topics. An annual Nonprofit Leadership Summit brings in national experts to speak on best practices for board governance and strategies to maximize greater community impact. The Summit draws over 200 local nonprofit board members and executive staff, representing 50 different organizations.
