Grantmaking
We are here to help you improve the quality of life in the region.Placer Community Foundation is a unique agency where nonprofits can find grants and permanent funding, as well as resources you need to do good work in Placer County.
How are we unique?
We Give
Our grant programs reinvest funds each year into nonprofits working hard to improve our community and different aspects of life in the region.
We Grow
We help you grow your funding through permanent endowment funds held right here at Placer Community Foundation. Endowments offer a predictable source of income in an unstable funding environment. We also offer development guidance to help you grow your endowment over time, as well as the ability to accept more complex charitable gift options, which may be attractive to your supporters.
We Listen
We realize you need more than simply program-specific funding to improve our community. Rather, it’s a combination of resources: financial, relational and intellectual. Some you have, others you need help finding. Our staff wants to know what we can do to help you impact Placer County the most. Share your idea, and they’ll give you guidance.
We Learn
Information we gather during our competitive grant programs, combined with one-on-one discussions with public officials, charitable fundholders and nonprofits, offer us broad and deep insight into the pressing needs and prevailing beliefs in our community. This better positions us to make vital links between funders, charities, public officials and everyday citizens. It also positions us to offer you more holistic nonprofit guidance.
