Community Needs Fund
A gift to the Community Needs Fund addresses a broad range of local needs—including future needs that often cannot be anticipated at the time your gift is made. We evaluate all aspects of community well-being: arts and culture, economic development, education, environment, health and human services, neighborhood revitalization, and more. The flexibility of your unrestricted gift enables our experienced community foundation program staff to respond to the community’s most pressing needs, today and tomorrow.
PCF Operational Fund
This permanently endowed administrative fund supports the operations of Placer Community Foundation forever. Your gift would help us provide resources to strengthen nonprofits, provide leadership and convening to address key issues in the community, and promote philanthropy throughout the region.
Youth Development Fund
Support Local Youth
Everyone is aware of how much young people need support and opportunities to learn, contribute, lead, develop life skills, and relate to others. Too often, we hear bad news about teen challenges without celebrating the wonderful, smart, creative, bring-on-the-world talents young people contribute to our communities. The Youth Development Fund reaches many young people, offering positive role models, peer relationships and opportunities for youth to lead.

Placer Community Foundation established an Arts Initiative to help develop, promote and encourage the arts in Placer County—for the benefit of our children and our local communities. Opportunities to support and sustain the arts abound—from music for young children to galleries and performance halls producing and exhibiting their works. Donate to this fund to help continue the work of the Arts Initiative or support an aspect of the arts important to you, your family and friends, or your local community.
PCF COVID-19 Response Fund
Working to direct resources during times of crisis, the Placer Community Foundation established a Disaster Relief Fund to address needs in the aftermath of a disaster within our county. Currently, the Disaster Relief Fund is serving as the “COVID-19 Response Fund” to address the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic in the community. Giving to this Fund offers flexible resources to organizations in our area so they can provide critical services to those who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of this outbreak.
PCF Fire Relief Fund

PRIDE Industries Endowment Fund
One in five Americans has a disability, and two-thirds of working-age Americans with disabilities are unemployed. At PRIDE Industries, we know that a job means so much more than a paycheck; it also has the power to bring connection, community, and purpose.
With your support, we can expand employment opportunities for a significant number of Americans. When you donate to PRIDE Industries Endowment Fund, you directly help people with disabilities experience the dignity of a paycheck and the pride that comes with meaningful work. And it’s not just individuals who are helped. When more people are able to work, the entire community benefits socially and economically.

Sight Word Busters Endowment Fund
Sight Word Busters provides trained and caring volunteers to go into classrooms in Placer County and work individually with kindergarten and first grade students to ensure they master a progressive series of sight words needed for early reading success. Because the program is hands-on and tailored to each student’s needs, the risk of young children falling behind is dramatically reduced, teachers are able to efficiently deliver curriculum in their classrooms and the volunteers themselves feel immense gratification leading students through these important literacy milestones.
