This fund was established by forward-thinking founders of Placer Community Foundation who wished to support the Foundation’s broad and varied impact. Your gift helps us provide leadership on key issues in the community and promote philanthropy throughout the region. Contribute to this fund to promote advocacy, education and collaboration around workforce housing, food delivery systems, homelessness, enrichment activities in the visual arts and more. PCF is dedicated to help develop, promote and encourage the arts in Placer County—for the benefit of our children and for the cultural vibrancy of our community. A gift to the Community Needs Fund addresses a broad range of local needs—including future needs that often cannot be anticipated at the time your gift is made. We evaluate all aspects of community well-being: arts and culture, economic development, education, environment, health and human services, neighborhood revitalization, and more. The flexibility of your unrestricted gift enables our experienced community foundation program staff to respond to the community’s most pressing needs, today and tomorrow.

Working to direct resources during wildfire emergencies, the Placer Community Foundation established the Fire Relief Fund to address needs in the aftermath of a devastating fire within our county. Giving to this Fund offers flexible resources to organizations in our area so they can provide direct assistance to those who are most impacted.

Placer Community Foundation designed the Nonprofit Initiative to help local nonprofit organizations thrive and grow. Targeted to nonprofits serving residents throughout much of Placer County, the program helps organizations deliver higher quality, more sustainable, more valuable community services. By accessing the programming of this initiative, local nonprofit organizations more effectively assess progress, develop people, plan growth, and manage operations.

Youth Development Fund
Support Local Youth
Everyone is aware of how much young people need support and opportunities to learn, contribute, lead, develop life skills, and relate to others. Too often, we hear bad news about teen challenges without celebrating the wonderful, smart, creative, bring-on-the-world talents young people contribute to our communities. The Youth Development Fund reaches many young people, offering positive role models, peer relationships and opportunities for youth to lead.

Arts Council of Placer County Endowment Fund
In 2020, the Arts Council of Placer County Endowment Fund was seeded through a gift made lovingly by bequest from Anu Vuorikoski. ACPC is seeking support from the community to help grow this fund with similar planned gifts made through Placer Community Foundation. Forward-thinkers like Anu will ensure the arts remain a constant source of creativity, inspiration and joy in our community.

Our team is dedicated to creating a stable, sustainable infrastructure that will carry this important arts organization forward for decades.

Founded in 1991, Placer Nature Center staff and community volunteers deliver environmental education programs to school children, families and community groups both at its 40 acre campus in Auburn and at school campuses across Placer County.
The Placer Nature Center Fund for Environmental Education at Placer Community Foundation was established to provide permanent resources to support educational programming that connects young and old with their natural environment.
