Donate to a fund that directly supports the work of Placer Community Foundation. Or we are also home to numerous funds established by generous individuals, families and businesses. These funds make grants to support organizations or areas of interest. You can donate to any of these funds right now. Make a donation – to celebrate an event or memorialize someone special to you, or add to a local agency’s endowment at PCF.

If you prefer to contribute by check, make payable to Placer Community Foundation and mail to: P.O. Box 9207, Auburn, CA 95604. Please state on the check if you’d like the gift to go to a specific fund or project at PCF.

Please contact our Philanthropic Services Manager, Jessica Hubbard jhubbard@placercf.org or call 530.885.4920 if you are interested in transferring assets (cash, stock, corporate bonds or other marketable securities) to the Foundation.

Community Impact Fund

Support PCF’s Impact in the Community
This fund was established by forward-thinking founders of Placer Community Foundation who wished to support the Foundation’s broad and varied impact. Your gift helps us provide leadership on key issues in the community and promote philanthropy throughout the region. Contribute to this fund to promote advocacy, education and collaboration around workforce housing, food delivery systems, homelessness, enrichment activities in the visual arts and more. When philanthropy can make a impact, it is PCF’s commitment to engage donors on these issues so that their giving provides lasting community change.

Supporting Local Arts and Culture
PCF is dedicated to help develop, promote and encourage the arts in Placer County—for the benefit of our children and for the cultural vibrancy of our community. Meeting ever-changing community needs.
A gift to the Community Needs Fund addresses a broad range of local needs—including future needs that often cannot be anticipated at the time your gift is made. We evaluate all aspects of community well-being: arts and culture, economic development, education, environment, health and human services, neighborhood revitalization, and more. Placer Community Foundation designed the Nonprofit Initiative to help local nonprofit organizations thrive and grow. Targeted to nonprofits serving residents throughout much of Placer County, the program helps organizations deliver higher quality, more sustainable, more valuable community services. By accessing the programming of this initiative, local nonprofit organizations more effectively assess progress, develop people, plan growth, and manage operations.

Youth Development Fund

Support Local Youth
Everyone is aware of how much young people need support and opportunities to learn, contribute, lead, develop life skills, and relate to others. Too often, we hear bad news about teen challenges without celebrating the wonderful, smart, creative, bring-on-the-world talents young people  contribute to our communities. The Youth Development Fund reaches many young people, offering positive role models, peer relationships and opportunities for youth to lead.

Arts Council of Placer County Endowment Fund

In 2020, the Arts Council of Placer County Endowment Fund was seeded through a gift made lovingly by bequest from Anu Vuorikoski. ACPC is seeking support from the community to help grow this fund with similar planned gifts made through Placer Community Foundation. Forward-thinkers like Anu will ensure the arts remain a constant source of creativity, inspiration and joy in our community.

Boys & Girls Club of Placer County Endowment Fund
Serving over 300 youth daily, Boys & Girls Club of Placer County provides a safe, structured and positive environment for young people ages 6-18 after school, during holidays and summer vacation. Being a cornerstone of the community since 1994, its mission remains “to inspire and empower all young people who pass through our doors to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.”

Child Advocates of Placer County Endowment Fund
Child Advocates of Placer County serves our county’s most vulnerable youth through a team of caring and highly trained staff and volunteers. Through our Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and Placer Mentor programs, volunteers provide a voice and consistent source of support to foster youth, at-risk youth and young adults; all with the goal of helping these kids build resiliency, self-confidence and self-sufficiency.

Ron Stork River-Advocate Legacy Fund
Established to honor the long-time river advocacy work of Ron Stork, this endowed fund supports the work of Friends of the River (FOR).

For over 40 years, FOR has been nationally recognized as an authority on the adverse effects of dams on rivers and ecosystems and as the most effective grassroots organization in the country working on behalf of rivers.  Contributions to this fund will support the preservation, restoration, and sustainability of the magnificent rivers of California.
