Placer Community Foundation (PCF) granted $5,000 to the Downtown Lincoln Association (DLA) to support downtown revitalization efforts. Gifts came from the Community Needs Fund and the Elizabeth M. Jansen Fund at the Community Foundation.
The Downtown Lincoln Association is a group of merchants, land owners, city officials, organizations, and citizens dedicated to keeping Downtown Lincoln thriving. They focus on downtown’s appearance, businesses, historical preservation, beautification, economic vitality, and involvement with the community, with a commitment to creating a place that people want to be. PCF CEO Veronica Blake shared, “This grant will help the DLA with its critical work of helping small businesses succeed and creating a welcoming district for all residents to enjoy. We are proud to support this community.”
If you are interested in getting involved, the Downtown Lincoln Association meets the second Thursday of every month at 8 a.m. at 600 Sixth Street and encourages you to attend.
