Placer Community Foundation’s Annual Nonprofit Leadership Summit will take place on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. This year’s topic is “Fearlessly Fundraising! Fundraise with Confidence TODAY!”
Effectively fundraising requires the right information and confidence in your approach. This training will focus on how to instill confidence in your fundraising team (volunteers and staff) with the right information, an understand the development process, and how to conduct a successful solicitation – with confidence. You will leave with tools you can immediately implement in your organization and begin to change your fundraising outcomes.
Board members and executives from local nonprofit organizations will learn:
Reframing the way the public understands the nonprofit sector
Decoding the philanthropic landscape and its impact on your organization
Why your board needs to be part of the process
What is the development process

PCF hired Dave Sternberg, a member of the faculty at The Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University’s Fund Raising School, where he teaches Building the Annual Fund, Marketing for Fundraising, Managing the Capital Campaign, Principles and Techniques, Major Gifts; as well as numerous customized training programs nationally and internationally. In 2006 he authored the course Purposeful Boards, Powerful Fundraising in cooperation with BoardSource. Dave is also a Senior Governance Consultant for BoardSource and is the only person in America to be affiliated with both the Lilly School of Philanthropy and BoardSource.
This all-day Summit is free of charge to nonprofits operating along the western slope of Placer County through the generosity of local sponsors.
